I realize this is stupid, but: The one guy tells Slippy to stick to the pond or something like that. So, are these characters actually different species of animals? Then why are they anthropomorphic? Did something happen to make them so? This seems to be a world where all of them just do these "human-like" things, so why would they still be relegated to the "stereotypes" of the non-human species they are at least inspired by? Or is this a reality where that's just the way all the creatures are? Do they exhibit "human-like" behavior and ALSO have unique behaviors and characteristics for their species? Also, this brings up the "Cars" franchise conundrum. Are there other "animals" in this world, in addition to these anthropomorphic ones? And why???
